Children Youth and Families Ministry
We’re delighted that the PCC has authorised us to advertise two important ministry positions. One is for youth ministry (full time) and the other is for children’s ministry (part time). Please pray that people will be called to apply, that church members will step forward to get involved in children and youth ministry and especially now in the short term, and give thanks for the committed and brilliant volunteers who lead children and youth work week in and week out. If you are interested in one of the posts, please see the ads on the vacancies page and get in touch.

Our love and prayers go with Anto and Jess as they embark on parenthood and Anto starts his new role for YPulse, a leading global insights and intelligence platform for Gen Z and Millennial consumers.  Anto will be officially leaving us on 3rd July but will be leading youth groups on Tuesdays and Sundays until the end of term. If you would like to contribute to a leaving gift please see the giving instructions (BACS is best) and donate by Monday 27 June.

Men’s Breakfast ALFRESCO SPECIAL - Fry up with Simon Willetts 4th June
If you haven’t been to one of the men’s breakfast before this is an ideal event to see if you might like to join the monthly group. For info contact mensgroup@bhcgodalming.org.

Family support meals - "Serving up love on a plate"
The church family is looking forward to a number of new arrivals in the coming weeks and months and one of the ways we show love and support for parents and families with new borns is with home cooked meals. It's very simple - just cook more of what you might usually be cooking, and deliver some to a family with a new born baby. Please let Ruth know if you can help. No upfront commitment, just join the list and then sign up to do a meal here or there as and when you can. Contact Ruth on ruthroseblade@gmail.com

Thank you to Alan Bott’s for the latest volume in his series of histories of Surrey churches. A History of Hambledon, Busbridge, Farncombe, Milford and Haslemere churches is now available to buy for a suggestion donation of £10. Mr Bott is a local historian and member of St Peter and St Paul’s church Godalming. He has written a history of the majority of churches in Surrey and donates his books to the churches in the hope they can sell them and use the funds wisely.

Bishop Andrew writes: As ever, Alan’s research is extensive with an eye for detail and a thorough exploration of both the buildings themselves and the communities that brought them into being…. I commend this guide, and its churches, to you.

Copies are available to buy in both churches. Please ask a Welcomer. Cashless payment is preferred via BACS or the card reader in Busbridge church.

Church Family News

Guildford Diocese is delighted to announce that Revd Dr John Valentine will be the new Local Ministry Programme Dean (the new title for the Principal role).  John brings broad and relevant experience with degrees from Oxford and Cambridge and a Doctor of Ministry.  He started training to become an LLM, which led to ordination and leading a church for seventeen years in Holborn.  Over the years, he has been active in theological education and has recently been teaching on a Doctor of Ministry course from Asbury Theological seminary for the Gregory Centre and training through CPAS. Busbridge&Hambledon Church is blessed to have John and Katherine as part of our congregation and we wish John God’s blessing in his new role.

Please Pray for
