We are here to serve,
so please get in touch if you need us, and we will do whatever we can to help.
We have volunteers who are keen to help as the need arises. If you know of anyone who may be glad of help with shopping or posting, or who would appreciate a regular ‘phone call, please ask them to get in touch with us, either on the dedicated e-mail address (coronaresponse@bhcgodalming.org) or telephone the church office on 01483 425695. The offer of help extends for as long as people are in isolation at home, unable to access the usual services.
Prime Timers (our more senior friends) are receiving regular contact from Penny, by email, post and telephone. Some have also been paired up in a ‘buddy system’ so that everyone knows they have someone who is looking out for them and who can be contacted if the need arises.
In the wider community, we hope that our volunteers will let us know if they think anyone needs particular help. We have people who are trained listeners - sometimes just talking to someone helps enormously! - and we are happy to signpost outside agencies for more specialist help, if this seems appropriate.
The Church Family Support Fund has changed its terms of operation in order to help more people in the community. To find out about the fund, and how to recommend someone for a gift, or donate see the C-19 CFSF page.
