CHRISTMAS HAMPERS
*Please drop off donations for the hampers at Busbridge church from Advent Sunday, 27 Nov to 13 December.*
Once again we are co-ordinating hampers for people in need in the community, and the need grows greater year on year.
4 ways to help
Lots of people enjoy being involved in this initiative every year, and a large team of volunteers are very much needed to make it happen. You can help in the following ways:
Donate items for the hampers
We aim to make the hampers a real treat and show of love for recipients who might not be able to afford the nicer things at Christmas. It is especially appreciated if the items are from the luxury range rather than value range. Here are some suggestions:
Christmas cakes, mince pies
Soups, cereals
Honey, jam
Tea and coffee hot chocolate
Tinned foods chocolates & sweets
Fruit juices, Biscuits
Cranberry jelly, stuffing mix
(please do not include alcohol, perishable or home-made items)
Soaps
Bubble bath
Christmas decorations Candles
Napkins and paper table cloth
Crackers
You may also like to add small wrapped presents (please include age and sex of the children they are intended for) and a Christmas card.
