Welcome to Arthur and his family and friends who bring him to be baptised at the Busbridge Classic service this morning.
Remembrance Sunday, 10 November
The morning services at each church combine for Remembrance next Sunday: 10am at Busbridge, and 10.30am at Hambledon. Children will stay in the services (no Sunday School groups today).
Joan Dyer
Many of you will remember Joan Dyer, who was a longstanding member of Busbridge Church. For the last few years, she has lived at Worplesdon View Care Home, in Guildford, and some of us have kept in touch with her there. We are sad to report that Joan died on Monday 28 October, at the age of 92. She was a faithful servant of God and we hold her in great affection. There will be a Service of Thanksgiving for Joan’s life, on Wednesday 13 November 2019, at 2pm in Busbridge Church. All who knew and loved Joan are very welcome to attend.
Nexus Cracker Craft Night—7 Nov: Our meeting this Thursday offers a chance for us to create (up to 6) special Christmas crackers! Please bring your own little gifts to make the crackers more personal for your family or friends. Jill will need to order the kits, so please let her know straight away if you’d like to join us: jill.johnston60@btinternet.com or 422194. There will be a charge of £6 to cover the cost of materials, but the usual event fee will be waived. We look forward to seeing you at 8pm in Busbridge Old Rectory for a drink and nibbles before we begin our creativity. All are very welcome!

Christmas Rocks ‘Create a Christmas Blessing’, Friday 13 December, 7-9pm
ladies@bhc have had a great idea for their big Christmas social, and a vision to surprise and bless the local community with Christmas themed decorated stones. On 13 Dec BHC women (and over 12s) will be painting and writing messages on each rock. Once dry, the rocks will be varnished and placed all around the local area. We hope that as folk find them, they will be blessed and touched by a little picture or message on the rock. Take a flyer for more info. Tickets £5 are available now from the office.
Church Centre to be used as Polling Station
