Notices for 10 July 2022

Thank you to Debs for sharing the call to prayer this weekend as the PCCs of Busbridge Church, Hambledon Church and St Peter and St Paul’s with St Mark’s prepare for Monday’s vote on whether to proceed with the process to unite the parishes and become Godalming Minster.

There has been some amazing prayer going on for the Godalming Minster Evaluation process, and the word clouds above and below give a sense of the responses shared at the monthly prayer gatherings which have taken place since March. The full transcripts from those prayer gatherings are rather lengthy, but you can take a look at the pdfs below too.

There’s a final chance to pray collectively this weekend, by joining the Busbridge Prayer Group on Saturday from 8-9am in Busbridge Church. All very welcome. This and other prayer requests can be sent to Michael Stubbs via prayer@bhcgodalming.org.

Prime Time drop ins at the Yew Tree Café - Mondays 10.30-11.30am
The first drop in last Monday was most enjoyable for the group that…”dropped in”, so you can be sure that one or two of the Prime Time team will hereon be in the café to chat every Monday from 10.30-11.30am. Come and enjoy a coffee, tea and something from the lovely range of baked goodies.

Hambledon Coffee Morning & Hearing Aid Clinic restarting Weds 20th July
We are looking forward to the return of the Hambledon coffee morning at 10.30am on 3rd Wednesdays of the month. NHS hearing aid maintenance and replacement batteries will also be available once more.

Who might you invite? Contact Jacqui Rook via the church office if you would like a lift to church.

The Summer Holidays…24 July - 28 August

From Sunday 24 July, services at Busbridge combine into one 10.30am service which includes elements of both classic and contemporary worship. Children’s groups take a break but the service is family friendly and there will be a different sermon topic themed activity for younger ones to do during the service. (Parents and carers can also use the Yew Tree Café or Old Rectory garden as a break out space for children if required.)

Hambledon services join in August. On Sundays 7, 21 and 28 August there will be one service at 10am.

14 August - 10.30am Churches Together Bandstand service (part of Godalming Staycation). No services at Busbridge or Hambledon.

Things that take a summer break

Have a refreshing summer, Gertrud and Shan.

Vacancies
The search for our new 4-11s Children’s Worker continues. Please take a look at the job, pray and share it. Simon would be happy to talk to anyone about it, even if the specification and terms are not a perfect match.

If you’d like to find out about the verger duties, Cat Garner would be thrilled to hear from you!

Worship Pastor - the ad for a new worship pastor to take over from Ben Ford as soon as possible after August will be going out shortly too. Watch this space, and share it when available.

Please continue to pray for all these vacancies and that God’s people are called to the roles.
