Church Cottage renovation update: Following the completion of decoration at Church Cottage, appliances have been moved and fitted into their final places. After some water issues during heavy rain we have now reached the significant milestone of being able to fit carpets and vinyl. It is feeling much more cosy and habitable now. Owen Roseblade and David Hart

We’re very keen to know what you thought about everything that went on over the Advent and Christmas period, so we’ve put together a (very short!) online survey; we’d really appreciate it if you could jot down your thoughts/impressions/experiences of the activities or services that you took part in. Go to www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/2LVTV2X. The deadline for filling this in is Monday 14th January, 9.00am. Thanks!

This event is part of the Prime Time programme, but as ever – all are welcome to attend. It’s the ideal feel-good event to help banish the winter blues! Tickets are £3 per person which includes legendary Prime Time tea and cake. Worship update...We’re delighted to announce that due to the giving for music-worship, Lisa is now with us full time from Jan 1st, this post is initially for two years. Thank you to everyone who is part of this. The worship space (Busbridge) team is working hard and things are progressing well; we’ve finished reviewing the scheme, are meeting at the beginning of January with the wider group helping move things forward, and will soon be issuing tender documents. We’re grateful to Tim Davies for some recent input.

A reminder that next week is our Resolution Sunday service across the benefice.

Whatever the circumstances, do come and join us for the afternoon. Expect a carol service with a traditional format, including a mix of both secular and religious readings. The service will be rounded off with mulled wine and mince pies. For further details contact the Church Office or email primetime@bhcgodalming.org.

A team, led by Andrew Dunn, this week met with representatives of the diocese regarding the clergy post for Hambledon. Did you know that over the course of last week, more than 280 people used or visited the Old Rectory and Centre? It wasn’t even a busy 7 day period! Find out more about what’s happening in the Old Rectory as well as the future of our worship - in terms of music-worship  ministry and the invitation to offer your views on changes to the worship space in Busbridge Church - in the special brochure available in all services this weekend with a special prayer event for it on 4th December and a Q&A session on 9th December in Busbridge Church.

Enthusiastic singers who don’t have young children also welcome! There will be toys and refreshments available. For more information, please go to www.bhcgodalming.org/sing.

Ladies of Busbridge&Hambledon - before you do a pre-Christmas clear out of your wardrobes...STOP! Or in the unlikely event that you get a Christmas present of the clothing variety that’s ‘not really you’...FEAR NOT! For in the New Year we will be having another Swap ‘til you Drop event, where you can swap those unwanted but perfectly lovely (but just not for you) items of clothing, scarves, shoes or jewellery for things that look just fab. It’ll cost you nothing and you’ll leave the evening even more glamorous than when you arrived. The date is yet to be confirmed but we’re thinking February. Start collecting your things now...
