Peter is a Licensed Lay Minister (Reader) involved in leading and preaching and in working with individuals and groups in the Benefice.

Peter was formerly a Director General in the UK Government and is a Founding Partner of Praesta, an Executive Coaching Business. He coaches and leads workshops internationally. He is a Visiting Professor of Leadership Development at Newcastle University Business School and at Chester University.

He has written a number of books including; Conversation Matters, Mirroring Jesus as Leader, Making Difficult Decisions, Deciding Well, Raise your Game, Defining Moments, The Christian Leader in the Global Workplace, and Thriving in Your Work. Peter enjoys long distance walking and has completed 10 long distance walks in the UK. He is married to Frances.
