Support Godalming Minster

It costs over £700,000 a year to run the churches and ministries which make up Godalming Minster. We are grateful to the many people who enable God’s work through the minster to flourish through regular planned giving. The most convenient method for regular giving is to use the Parish Giving Scheme.

We also make special appeals to support other charities, missionaries and organisations chosen by our outward giving group. Please donate with ChurchSuite or make a BACS transfer and tell us what the gift is for in the reference.

Ways of Giving

Regular Giving via the Parish Giving Scheme

We are part of the Parish Giving Scheme. This enables you to give via Direct Debit and includes the convenient option to increase your giving in line with inflation each year automatically. The scheme also handles Gift Aid claims, which simplifies administration.

Make a one-off donation by debit card or credit card, and add gift aid to your donation.

Please include a reference to tell us what the gift is for.

ChurchSuite charges a fee on donations, so Minster members and friends who make ad-hoc gifts repeatedly are encouraged to use BACS (bank transfer) using the details below.

Please include a helpful REFERENCE to indicate what your donation/payment is for. We use the bank accounts to receive and pass on money to our Outward Giving partners, or for particular projects.

Other ways to give

If you prefer to make a donation by cheque, these can be sent to Martin Lambert, Treasurer (make cheques out to Godalming Minster), at the Minster Office address (Old Rectory, Old Rectory Gardens, Godalming GU7 1XB).

You can also leave a donation in the collection plate at one of our services, or use the contactless card reader in each church.

Gift Aid

If you have paid sufficient tax in the tax year in which you make the donation, then we are able to claim an additional 25% on all the amounts given.

(NB. This is not required if you use the Parish Giving Scheme, or My ChurchSuite, both of which enable you to confirm Gift Aid).

Make a Gift Aid Declaration

You can also collect hard copies of the form and return them to the Minster Office. If you use the Parish Giving Scheme (see above) you can let them claim the gift aid when you sign up.

Minster Family Support Fund

The Minster Family Support Fund is a separate fund to support families and individuals in our community in times of difficulty. The treasurer of the fund is Jill Johnston.
