Alpha is a series of group conversations that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. Everyone’s welcome. No matter your background or beliefs, you’re invited.
Alpha is for everyone, those new to the Christian faith or just starting to explore. Individuals who want to answer their friends or family about their beliefs. Long-time Christians who’ve never felt they could ask questions about their faith.
It’s also great for anyone new to church who wants to meet more people!
Yes! Every session starts with a meal (a light lunch or simple supper). We can cater for any dietary requirements, just let us know!
No questions are off-limits, and no assumptions are made.

The course begins with a ‘no obligation’ introductory session led by Rev Lesley Mason, a member of the Godalming Minster clergy team. Lesley has been involved in several Alpha courses at Godalming Minster and most recently served as the Prison Chaplain at HMP Send. During the evening, there will be an opportunity to chat with those who have previously completed Alpha.
