We are here to help craft a meaningful service that honours your loved one and your wishes, and support you in the preparation and afterwards.  Our a team of bereavement visitors will be in touch with you, to offer prayer and practical support, both at the time and afterwards.

How do I plan a funeral?

Funeral services can take place at our four churches, and our clergy team can also conduct a Christian funeral at Guildford Crematorium, on the outskirts of Godalming.

If someone you love dies and you find that you have to arrange a funeral, the first step is to contact one of the local funeral directors.

They will guide you through the practical steps and will be in touch with us, having consulted you about the type of service you would like. (That may be in church, at the crematorium, or a service followed by burial.)

Once the date has been arranged, a member of our clergy team will be in touch with you to plan the service.  This will include any music you would like, reading(s) and possibly a couple of hymns. You may already have some ideas, but we want to help you plan something special and we take great care to ensure that the service is personal, for you and for the person who has died.
