Marriage is at the heart of family and community life, and we’d love to help make your wedding ceremony really special. We will be with you every step of the way, from ‘Yes’ to ‘I do’.

Are you eligible?

To marry in church we first need to establish what the Church of England calls a qualifying connection. You can confirm your parish by looking up your postcode on “A Church Near You”. Even if you don’t live in the parish, your family or previous connections may still qualify you for marriage here. Please get in touch to find out. For more details, visit yourchurchwedding.org.

What does the process look like?

Every wedding is unique. Whether it’s an intimate ceremony or a grand celebration, our goal is to make your ceremony a meaningful celebration of your relationship and commitment. When you get in touch, we can discuss potential wedding dates, invite you to a Marriage Preparation Day and send you information to help plan your marriage ceremony. You’ll also meet with a member of our clergy, who will help shape a personalised service which fulfils legal requirements.
