We celebrate the full range of worship traditions across Godalming Minster – from BCP, Choral, Common Worship and Contemporary. You can also join some congregations online via YouTube or watch services on demand.
We’ve made a few changes to our service pattern from October 2026…this is what on happens on regular Sundays
Steeped in tradition and accompanied by the robed Minster Choir, the service follows Common Worship liturgy for communion and makes the most of the fine organ and traditional building.

An informal service, with band led contemporary worship and creative use of modern media. Coffee is available from 10.15am.
Children head to their groups in the Octagon on arrival, then join in for the end of the service .
2nd Sundays of the month, followed by breakfast in the Octagon.
This is a said communion service according to the 1662 Book of Common Prayer (BCP). A permanent feature of the Church of England’s worship and a key source for its doctrine, the Book of Common Prayer is loved for the beauty of its language
4th Sunday of the month
Tranquil and timeless, the Godalming Minster choir leads a contemplative sunset service, which uses the 1662 Book of Common Prayer (BCP).
From May to September Evensong is at the later time of 6.30pm.
A service which gathers us around food, worship, Scripture, prayer and fellowship, blending the best elements that appeal to the many younger families in our neighbourhood.
We offer a simple help-yourself breakfast: cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, and occasional cooked items. Seating is at tables or in rows and everyone is invited to stay for the worship after eating, or is free to go.
A structured service following Common Worship, including well-known hymns, and space for listening and reflecting.
Weekly, with Holy Communion 1st Sundays of the month.
A spiritual home for those in their late teens to 30s; and a great place to worship for those of any age who want to pursue the gifts of the Spirit, and are passionate about encountering God together. There’s bar style refreshments in the Yew Tree Café after the service.
Our Roots youth group (for school years 7-11) starts in the service before leaving for food and their activity in the Hut.

A relaxed, friendly and popular service with a blend of Common Worship and more contemporary elements, traditional hymns and songs. Stay for coffee afterward with croissants from the village shop!
Weekly, with Holy Communion 2nd and 5th Sundays of the month.
Evensong takes place two or three times a year, with a village choir leading our worship.
