Busbridge Church, the Busbridge Old Rectory and the Yew Tree Café are all on the Brighton road site, between the Busbridge Infant and Junior schools. Spot the war memorial as you head south on Brighton Road. There’s something going on here most of the week, and this is where you’ll find the staff and clergy team.
This grade II listed church was designed by George Gilbert Scott and dedicated in 1867. Lovers of the Arts and Crafts design movement will be interested in the chancel screen designed by Edwin Lutyens, the Burne-Jones stained glass windows and the grave of “ground breaking” garden designer Gertrude Jeykyll.
The church was reordered in 2019 to create a large flexible space for worship and other activities. There’s a modern AV system and equipment to livestream services.
The church is open daily from 9-4 for private prayer and reflection.
The post code for the church is GU7 1XA ///employ.owners.privately
Parking for the church is available on Hambledon Road GU7 1PJ.
Please note that the church, café and Old Rectory share Hambledon road with residents and Busbridge Infant school, and it can be busy at school drop off and pickup!
The Old Rectory is the mid-week hub and beating heart of the Minster. Developed in 2018, there’s comfortable space for different groups to meet, and a big garden for toddlers to roam. Young people have their own space to hang out, and you can find the clergy and staff team here Monday to Friday.
